Are my e-mail address and password safe?

Why does TrueSwitch require my user ID and Password?
We require your ID and Password of both your old provider and new one for security purposes, this guarantees you are who you say you are and protects against the transfer of data without your permission. Since your privacy is a high priority for us, TrueSwitch will not give your information to any third parties - we do not rent, share or trade your personally identifiable information with third parties. Your e-mail address and password are protected using industry recognized encryption standards and your passwords are transmitted and stored in encrypted format at all times. Is my ID and Password stored by TrueSwitch?
TrueSwitch stores your User IDs for technical and customer support purposes and to support the Contact Update feature.
