Q. Does my information stay private?
A. Your information is only used to provide the TrueSwitch services in accordance with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. The nature of the TrueSwitch services require that we use your User ID and password to log into your old Internet account to forward email: we also send change of address notices to your friends and contacts with your new Internet email address, etc.

For technical troubleshooting, and improving the services that we provide, we collect information on your usage of the TrueSwitch services and may occasionally contact you with news of products and services we believe may be of interest to you. You can opt-out of sharing this technical information, and from receiving news updates from us by selecting the “Custom Install” option and then deselecting the “Share Technical Data” with TrueSwitch” and “Receive Updates from TrueSwitch”.

You can also opt-out of receiving further updates from TrueSwitch via My TrueSwitch.

Q. How do I change "My TrueSwitch" password?
A. The User ID and password for My TrueSwitch are the same as originally entered for your new Internet account. If you have forgotten your password, please contact Technical Support and we will email it to you.

A. We require your user ID and password to both your old and new Internet Service Providers for security purposes: this protects against the transfer of your personal data without your permission.

A. TrueSwitch is committed to utilizing the best commercially available technology and procedures to protect the security of your data. We encourage you to carefully review our Privacy Policy if you have further questions.

Q. Is my User ID and Password stored by TrueSwitch?
A. TrueSwitch stores your User IDs for technical and customer support purposes and to support the Contact Update feature.

Your password for your old Internet account is stored only if you selected to have emails forwarded to your new Internet account. For email forwarding to work the TrueSwitch servers require your password to login to your old account twice daily for a period of 30 days. Thereafter, your password is deleted.

The original password for your new Internet account is stored for access to My TrueSwitch. You can change your password for your new Internet account at any time after you receive an email confirming that your switch has been successfully completed.
