I have both stored emails in my old AOL software on my computer as well as on my AOL Anywhere (http://www.aol.com). Will the TrueSwitch service move both to my new account?
I have both emails in my old MSN software on my computer as well as on HOTMAIL (www.hotmail.com). Will TrueSwitch copy both to my new account?
I have emails and addresses stored in my Outlook Express as well as my ISP's webmail account. Will TrueSwitch copy both to my Yahoo! Plus account?

Yes, but you must select both Copy My Information as well as Email forwarding for it to do so.

TrueSwitch will only copy emails and addresses stored on Outlook Express and your webmail account if your current ISP is AT&T Worldnet, Comcast or Cox to your new account. If you are with another ISP and use Outlook Express or Outlook to read and send emails, it will not copy stored emails or addresses stored in your webmail.

Will my email folders that I have created at my old ISP be transferred?

TrueSwitch will copy your email folders from your old ISP. The folder names may be modified to accommodate certain technical constraints, but should still be recognizable to you.

 
   

How do I know when my request to transfer to my new ISP account is complete?

A confirmation email will be sent to your new email address at your new ISP. This confirmation will contain status about your transfer.

 
   

Will the TrueSwitch service delete my information once it is transferred?

No, TrueSwitch will not modify or delete your stored information. The automated engine is designed to transfer information.

 
   

How long does it take to complete a transfer?

Most requests are fulfilled within two hours, but can take up to 24 hours. If you have not heard from us within 24 hours, contact support at yplus@yahoo-inc.com.

 
   

Will TrueSwitch transfer all data stored in my calendar?

TrueSwitch will transfer all events/appointments up to 6 months back and 6 months forward from the time the service is run.

 
   

Will the TrueSwitch service copy all attachments and downloads I received through my emails from my old ISP to my new account?

The current version of TrueSwitch will transfer your emails completely.

 
   

I have child accounts associated with my main one at the old ISP. Will TrueSwitch service transfer all of them to the new Yahoo! Plus account?

Yes, you may transfer each of them to your main account. However you will not be able to transfer them to child accounts or sub-accounts.

 
   

How do I view my favorites (bookmarks) in my Yahoo! Plus account?

  • If you are using the Yahoo browser, log into your account and your migrated favorites can be viewed by clicking on the "Bookmarks" link on the upper left- hand side of the page.
  • If you are using Internet Explorer as your browser, log into your account by going to Yahoo! Plus at mail.yahoo.com. Type in bookmarks.yahoo.com - you will be able to view your favorites.
